Evaluations

Systems Engineering
Systems engineering is a process used in Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) projects to define, design, implement, validate and operate a system or technology. Athey Creek Consultants has completed numerous systems engineering efforts by engaging stakeholders, preparing concepts of operation, defining system requirements, developing test plans, preparing procurement materials, and supporting system validation and integration for a variety of ITS projects and clients.
Research
Athey Creek Consultants conducts exploratory and applied research to support agency decision-making in the use of operational strategies and transportation technologies. Our research applies unbiased approaches to perform literature reviews, conduct stakeholder surveys, complete agency interviews, conduct analysis, and document findings.
Standards and Architecture
Athey Creek Consultants supports the development of warrants and standards to assist transportation agencies determine technology deployment needs and apply industry accepted practices in alignment with national, state, and regional ITS and CAV architectures.
Connected and Automated Vehicles
Athey Creek Consultant’s expertise includes extensive technical knowledge, understanding of current and emerging practices, and support of national efforts to advance infrastructure readiness connected and automated vehicles (CAV) and cooperative automated transportation (CAT) technologies.

Transportation Systems Management and Operations (TSMO) is a set of strategies that focuses on operational improvements that can maintain and restore the performance of the existing transportation system before extra capacity is needed. Procurement and System Integration
Athey Creek Consultants assists agencies with procuring transportation systems and technologies and integrating with in-place systems. We work with agencies to define system requirements, prepare procurement materials, support acceptance testing, and prepare integration strategies.
