WELCOME

To the ENTERPRISE Program ITS Warrants Research Project website. The purpose of this project is for ENTERPRISE representatvies from each member state to work together with the goal of reaching consensus on a small set of ITS warranted installation parameters, guiding the initial decision of whether or not to deploy ITS solutions.

For more information on using the ITS warrants click here.

WHAT CAN I DO AT THIS WEBSITE?

The purpose of this website is to allow transportation professionals to contribute to the ENTERPRISE ITS Warrants project.  Visitors to the website are encouraged to test these draft warrants and offer any feedback as to the potential for ITS warrants.  The project is seeking feedback on whether the concept of ITS warrants would add value to the transportation community, and also on any specific aspects of the draft warrants.

If ITS warrants are finalized and formally released, the intent would be that they would assist transportation professionals in their decision making process of determining if an ITS device is warranted. As part of this research project, warrants were developed for Dynamic Message Signs (DMS), Closed Circuit Television (CCTV), Highway Advisory Radios (HAR), Roadway Weather Information Systems (RWIS), Variable Speed Limit Devices (VSL), Dynamic Speed Display Signs (DSDS), Ramp Meters, Curve Warning Systems, and Intelligent Work Zones.

Please select an ITS device below to begin the process of determining if deployment is warranted at your location.
